Kumuyi Turns 85, Celebrates Decades of Global Christian Impact

 

Renowned Nigerian cleric and founder of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Folorunso Kumuyi, has marked his 85th birthday, drawing attention to a ministry that has shaped Christian faith and practice for more than five decades.

Born on June 6, 1941, Kumuyi rose from leading a small Bible study group in Lagos to establishing one of the largest Christian movements to emerge from Nigeria, with a presence in numerous countries around the world.

Over the years, he has earned a reputation for his unwavering commitment to biblical teachings, personal discipline and a message centred on holiness, values that have remained at the core of his ministry.

His teachings have influenced generations of Christians, church leaders and evangelists, while his simple lifestyle and consistency have earned admiration both within and beyond Pentecostal circles.

Beyond the pulpit, Kumuyi’s contributions have extended to Christian education, discipleship and large-scale evangelistic outreaches, helping to strengthen faith communities across different nations.
