Prof. Ambali’s Passing Great Loss to Academia, Ilorin Emirate — Saraki

Former Senate President and Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and Chairman of the Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor AbdulGaniy Ambali.
In a condolence message issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr. Saraki described the late Professor Ambali as an accomplished scholar, an exceptional administrator, a distinguished son of the Ilorin Emirate, and a humble elder statesman whose contributions to education, research, and human development will remain indelible.
Dr. Saraki said the death of Professor Ambali is a great loss not only to his immediate family but also to the academic community, the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the nation at large, noting that the deceased devoted his life to the advancement of knowledge and the nurturing of future generations.
He commiserated with the family of the late scholar, the management, staff and students of the University of Ilorin and Kwara State University, Malete, the Emir of Ilorin and the entire Ilorin Emirate, as well as friends, associates and admirers of the deceased.
“Professor Ambali lived a life of purpose, service and excellence. His remarkable achievements in academia and public service earned him respect across the country and beyond.
He will be remembered for his commitment to educational development, his integrity, wisdom and his invaluable contributions to society,” Saraki stated.
The former Senate President prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his return, widen and illuminate his grave, and admit him into Aljanatul Firdaus.
He also prayed Allah to grant his family, colleagues, the academic community and the people of Ilorin Emirate the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
