2023 Elections: Group Calls For Review Of Nation’s Constitution

A concerned Nigerian, Dr David Salami has called for the complete review of the 1999 Constitution for the Nation’s democracy to stand the test of time.

Dr Salami, who spoke at a Press Briefing on Thursday in Ilorin on behalf of the Nigeria Indigenous Nationalists for Self Determination said the current Constitution is fraudulent and faulty.

The group noted that it has called for the stoppage of elections under the 1999 constitution, in the past twenty two years.

According to the group, there is need to review the current Constitution for meaningful development and progress in the country.

He appealed to Nigerians to say no to 2023 Election under the 1999 fraudulent Constitution, which was forced on the Nation by the Abdulsalam Military Regime.

Dr Salami, who is a Reverend said the current generation had failed the Nation in standing for the truth and correcting the wrongs in the system.

He explained that all efforts had been explored by the body to call the attention of relevant agencies and stakeholders to the flaws in the Constitution.
