AOT Mourns Dr. Lateef Olaniyan, Say His Death Monumental Loss to Igbomina Land

Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT), has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Dr. Lateef Olaniyan of Omu-Aran, describing his death as a painful and monumental loss not only to Omu-Aran but to the entire Igbomina nation.
In a condolence message released on Saturday, Dr. Alabi extended heartfelt sympathies to the Olomu of Omu-Aran, the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Omu-Aran, associates, and all sons and daughters of Igbomina land at home and in the diaspora.
He described the late Dr. Olaniyan as a committed patriot, an intellectual voice, and a passionate advocate for the unity, development, and progress of Igbomina land whose dedication to community service remained unwavering until his final moments.
“The passing of Dr. Lateef Olaniyan is deeply painful and heartbreaking. He was a devoted son of Igbomina whose passion for the growth and advancement of our people was genuine, consistent, and selfless,” AOT stated.
Dr. Alabi noted that the deceased distinguished himself through active contributions to developmental discussions and initiatives aimed at improving the social and economic condition of Igbomina communities.
According to him, the late Dr. Olaniyan was widely respected for his intellect, humility, leadership qualities, and uncommon commitment to humanitarian and community causes.
He further reflected on the shocking nature of the death, noting that the deceased remained actively engaged in conversations surrounding the future and development of Igbomina land shortly before news of his demise emerged.
“His dedication to the service of his people was remarkable. Even in his final hours, he remained committed to discussions centred on the progress of Igbomina land. Indeed, he served his people until the very end,” he added.
Dr. Alabi stated that the vacuum created by the death of Dr. Olaniyan would be difficult to fill, stressing that his contributions, sacrifices, and love for humanity would continue to inspire generations to come.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grants him eternal rest, and gives his family, friends, and the entire Igbomina nation the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss.
“May Almighty God comfort everyone touched by this painful departure and grant the deceased eternal peace. His legacy of service, unity, and commitment to community development will never be forgotten,” Dr Alabi said.
