Ifelodun LG Stakeholders Back Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen for Governor

Prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have pledged to support Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT) for the governorship position and ensure his victory in the 2027 primary election.
They made the pledge during a stakeholders’ meeting attended by party leaders from Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, youth groups, women representatives and community supporters from across the local government area were at the meeting held at Igbomina House in Ilorin.
Speaking at the gathering, party chieftains from the council area described Dr. Alabi as a visionary leader with the capacity, experience and commitment needed to move Kwara State forward and make it greater.
They said the decision to support his aspiration was based on his track record of service at the community level, leadership qualities and his developmental agenda for the state.
One of the stakeholders, Alhaji Akande, who spoke among others, said Dr. Alabi possesses the competence and integrity required to provide purposeful governance and inclusive development across Kwara.
According to him, “Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen has demonstrated sincerity, humility and genuine concern for the welfare of the people. We believe he is the right person to lead Kwara State to greater heights.”
The stakeholders also pledged to mobilise massive support for his ambition at the grassroots level and ensure victory for him during the party primaries and the main election.
Youth and women groups at the meeting equally expressed confidence in the aspiration of Dr. Alabi, noting that his administration would prioritise empowerment, education, job creation and infrastructural development.
In his remarks, Dr. Alabi appreciated the stakeholders for their confidence in him and assured them of his commitment to transparent, people-oriented and developmental governance if elected governor.
He promised to run an inclusive administration that would focus on improving education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment and economic opportunities for all residents of the state.
Dr. Alabi further called on party members to remain united and committed to the progress of the APC in Kwara State.
According to him, he joined the party from the ward from home through to the local government and state.
He urged the stakeholders to do all within their power to support and encourage power shift from the central to the south in view of the insecurity challenges facing both the south and the north in Kwara State.
He also advised them not to sell their conscience or trade their votes for peanuts, but to think deeply about the future and well-being of their children and Kwara South.
