“Keep Our Flag Flying”… NYSC State Coordinator Tells Outgoing Corps Members

The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, Kwara State, Mrs Francisca Olaleye, has advised the outgoing Corps members to keep the flag of the scheme flying, even after their service year.
This is part of the farewell message delivered today, at all the 16 Local Government Areas of kwara state, during the Passing Out ceremony for the 2021 Batch C, Stream 2 Corps members.
She goes further to congratulate the out-going Corps members for the successful completion of their service year in the state. According to her, the Corps members exhibited a high level of discipline, perseverance doggedness and resilience during their one-year mandatory National Service.
Mrs Francisca Olaleye expressed appreciation to the government and the good people of Kwara State for their priceless supports to the NYSC scheme.
The state coordinator singled out the recent approval of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, to construct the perimeter fencing of the NYSC orientation camp, at Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of the State.
In Kwara state, a total number of 1,710 Corps members, who diligently served their fatherland collected their Certificate of National Service.
It is also on record that, 15 of the Batch, who absconded from the national service, shall repeat the service year, whenever they made themselves available again.
It is also unfortunate that, two of the outgoing Corps members, lost their precious lives, while on national service.
Also, 4 members of the out-going Batch , who violated various sections of the NYSC Bye-Laws, shall have their service year extended for some specified days.
According to the State Coordinator, this disciplinary measures will serve as deterrent to other Corps members, who are still on national service.
The State Coordinator address was delivered by some very senior NYSC officers, who overseas the low key passing out ceremony at the various local government Areas.
