2022 Haji: First Batch of 541 Pilgrims From Kwara Return

The first batch of this year’s pilgrims from kwara State that took part in Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia have returned home safely.

The pilgrims arrived aboard a Max Airline 5N-ADM, which touched down at the Ilorin International Airport, Ilorin at exactly 7:59a.m.

About 541 pilgrims with some officials arrived at Ilorin International Airport.

Some of the pilgrims thanked Almighty Allah for His mercy throughout the spiritual exercise in Saudi Arabia.

One of the pilgrims, Alhaji Tunde Kanike thanked Allah for this year’s exercise and commended the state government for the successful exercise.

He however enjoined the State Muslims Pilgrims Board to improve more on welfare of the pilgrims, especially in the area of local foods, adding that not every pilgrims enjoyed foods provided during their stayed in the Holy land.

Also speaking, Alhaja Kuburat Abimbola-Lawal appreciated Allah and the State Muslims Pilgrims Board, particularly the Amirul-Hajj, Dr Ibrahim Akewusola for his wonderful job he did during the exercise.

He, however, stressed the need for concerted efforts to guide against the lapse witnessed during this year.
