Easter: APC Volunteer Group Felicitates With Nigerians

The APCV felicitates with all Nigerians especially our Christian brothers on the occasion of the Easter celebrations.

Easter period provides a time for sober reflection on the lessons and principles of a life of sacrifice, humility, altruism and service to nation and mankind as exemplified by the life of Jesus Christ.

This is contained in a statement signed by Victor Walsh Oluwafemi, National Coordinator,APCV

The APCV orders it’s activities along this less travelled path of sacrifice, service and patriotism by introducing into our body politics the concept of volunteerism as a way of sanitising the polity and upholding the tenets of true democracy.

“The history of Nigeria is replete with accounts of great struggles and true sacrifice by our founding fathers and heroes past.Over 60 years of nationhood provides a unique opportunity for Nigerians to reaffirm that the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.

According to James Joyce,”history (or our experience as a nation may be nightmarish) from which we are all struggling to wake up; but history, can also be a sweet dream from which we do not wish to be disturbed by uncomfortable reality.”

The APCV anchoring it’s hope on the redemptive message of Easter believe that Nigeria, will yet emerge a great nation from the present situation; where justice and peace shall reign.
