2023: PDP screens Atiku, Obi, Anyim, Wike, Ugwu, Fayose, 11 Other Presidential Aspirants Today
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun the screening of 17 presidential aspirants on its platform for eligibility to participate in the party’s national primaries convention billed for May 28/29 2022.
Scheduled for today (Friday, April 29, 2022), the screening, which is taking place at the national secretariat of the party, 1970 Michael Okpara Street, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, began at 10.30 this morning with former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar first to screened.
Besides Alhaji Abubakar, the other aspirants being screened are former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi; former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim; Governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike; Abuja-based attorney and entrepreneur, Chief (Barrister) Charlie Ugwu; former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and 12 other aspirants.
According to the time released by the PDP, 1) Alhaji Abubakar was billed to be screened at 10.30 – 11 am; 2) Dr. Anthony Nwachukwu Anakwenze- 11 – 11:30; 3) H.E Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim – 11:30-12noon; 4) H.E Gabriel Udom Emmanuel – 12-12:30pm; 5) H.E Ayo Fayose – 12:30-1pm; 6) Mohammed Hayatu-Deen – 1-1:30pm and 7) Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu – 1:30-2pm.
Next to be screened after the lunch break at 2-2:30pm are: 8) H.E Sen. Bala A. Mohammed – 2:30-3pm; 9) Ayobami Dele Momodu – 3 – 3:30pm; 10) Rt. Hon. Cosmos C. Ndukwe – 3:30-4pm; 11) H.E Peter Obi – 4pm-4:30pm and 12) Mazi. Sam Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa- 4:30-5pm
Others are 13) Diana Tariela Oliver – 5-5:30pm; 14) H.E Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki- 5:30-6pm; 15) Barr. Charles Okwudili Ugwu – 6pm-6:30pm; 16) H.E Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal Waziri – 6:30-7pm and 17) H.E Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – 7-7:30pm.
According to the schedule, only two aspirants, namely former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Anthony Nwachukwu Anakwenze had been screened as at the time of this report.
