Former VC Of UNIBEN, Prof. Alele-Williams Dies At 89
THE first Nigerian female Vice-Chancellor at the University of Benin, Edo State, and first Nigerian woman to receive a Doctorate, Prof. Grace Alele-Williams, has reportedly died.
Sundry media reports and A Whatsapp Group having prominent Itsekiris as members, reportedly dropped the hint of Prof. Alele-Williams’ demise.
“The Education icon and great Mathematician, Prof. Grace Alele Williams, has gone to be with the Lord. May her soul rest in peace”, the post by one Femi Uwawah, claimed.
Details of her death-where when and how- have yet to be formally announced by the family.
Alele-Williams was born on December 16, 1932.
