CYMS hails Boss Mustapha, plans to organise a National conference
The famous Pro Government organisation with the mandate of promoting the policies & programmes of the Federal government has commended the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha for giving his consent to the collaboration request to organise a National Conference.
The Director General, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS), Mr Obinna Nwaka who announced the development in an open letter both on his private and official social media titled: “Thank you Presidency for the approval.”
According to him, I wish to announce that Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has approved our collaboration request to organise a National Conference on Promotion of Peaceful coexistence, Religious & Ethnic cohesion in our nation.
Nwaka, who further stated that the National Conference is expected to mobilize both youths, religious & traditional leaders and other relevant Stakeholders from various works of life as participant to create an awareness and brainstorm for the peace and unity of our nation.
“Hence, the purpose of the National conference seeks to proffer solutions to the challenges responsible for lack of peaceful coexistence, religious crisis, youth restiveness and incessant civil unrest confronting our nation with a view to come up with some resolutions, recommendations and a comprehensive report to the Federal government through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) for policy implementation.
Meanwhile, the approval letter from the Presidency was signed by Mr Tukur Yahaya; the Director, Special Services office on behalf of the SGF, Mr Boss Mustapha and addressed to the Director General, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS) reads:
“I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter on the above subject matter, “request for a collaboration to organise a national conference on promotion of peaceful coexistence, and ethnic & religious cohesion in our nation”.
Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), while assuring the organisation of his assurances, also advised them to channel thier request to relevant Government agencies for necessary action.
The CYMS Director General said the organisation, which is in process of setting up the Planning Committee would soon come up with the Concept documents as required to guide the entire programme.
He thanked the SGF for his advice and support since the establishment CYMS as a Pro Government organisation.
He said, in due time, the organisation shall constitute the members of Planning Committee and announce other vital information regarding the national conference to the public for participation.
CYMS reports to the Presidency, with the motive to ensuring peaceful coexistence in the nation, which is in line with its aims & objectives, apart from other functions such as facilitation of empowerment, promotion of good governance and drive youth inclusion in policy formulation.
