Chelsea 3-0 West Ham: Blues return to winning ways

Chelsea rediscovered that winning feeling as they saw off West Ham at Stamford Bridge with Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham both getting on the score sheet.

Chelsea put their recent defeats behind them as Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham both scored to see off the Hammers.

The Blues had threatened to fall away following losses at Everton and then Wolves.

Frank Lampard’s side certainly had the look of a side who had been dealt a reality check and West Ham will feel aggrieved by the end scoreline.

They posed the Blues plenty of problems but were on the back foot within 10 minutes as Thiago Silva was allowed a clear run to head home.

West Ham though continued to come as the error-strewn hosts failed to assert their authority on the game.

But Tammy Abraham scored two in the space of three minutes to take the game away from the visitors and ensure that an indifferent performance was not punsihed.

The English striker made it 2-0 in the 78th minute and two minutes after, the gangling striker further increased Chelsea’s lead with a third goal to make it 3-0.

With three goals and three points, Chelsea climbed into the fifth position on the Premier League standings with 25 points from 14 games.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, Monday’s outing was not all rosy as they lost one of their players, Ben Chilwell, to a nasty injury.

The left-back was forced off inside the opening 10 minutes of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with London rivals West Ham on Monday night.
