Dr Alabi Hails Yahaya Seriki’s ₦1bn Empowerment Initiative For Kwarans

...Says Intervention Could Boost Small Businesses among others
Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT) has commended Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki for his ₦1 billion empowerment initiative for the people of Kwara State, describing it as a significant intervention capable of strengthening grassroots economic activities and improving livelihoods.
AOT, in a statement issued by his Media Team, described the initiative as a demonstration of commitment to the economic well-being of the people, particularly traders, entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking opportunities to improve their livelihoods.
He noted that targeted financial assistance, business support and access to economic opportunities could strengthen household incomes, encourage entrepreneurship and stimulate economic growth at the grassroots.
According to him, Kwara State needs sustained interventions that support traders, artisans, women, youths and other productive segments of society, particularly those operating small and medium-scale enterprises.
He observed that initiatives of this nature could complement government development efforts by enabling beneficiaries to expand existing businesses, establish new ventures and build sustainable sources of income.
Dr Alabi stressed that the success and long-term impact of the ₦1billion initiative would depend largely on transparency, fairness in beneficiary selection and effective monitoring to ensure that the intended beneficiaries receive the support.
He urged the organisers to ensure equitable distribution across the state’s three senatorial districts, with clear and accessible guidelines that would give deserving individuals a fair opportunity to benefit.
The AOT Media Team further noted that sustainable community development requires collective responsibility, stressing that individuals and organisations with the capacity to support economic empowerment have important roles to play in addressing livelihood challenges and expanding opportunities at the grassroots.
Dr Alabi also encouraged other well-meaning Nigerians, corporate organisations and private-sector stakeholders to emulate initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, human capital development and economic inclusion.
While expressing appreciation to Ambassador Yahaya Seriki for the gesture, AOT prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to enlarge his resources, strengthen his capacity for service and reward his generosity.
He expressed the hope that the intervention would translate into tangible improvements in the lives of beneficiaries and inspire further investments in the economic advancement of Kwara State.
The APC chieftain reaffirmed that empowering citizens remains a vital pathway to sustainable community development, adding that financially stronger households, thriving small businesses and improved income opportunities contribute significantly to a more productive society.
