Omo Igbomina Lauds President Tinubu’s Army Expansion, Hail Gov. AbdulRazaq’s Security Collaboration

…Says 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin, Army Battalion in Omu-Aran Will Enhance Security in Kwara South
The National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Sir Bisi Fakayode, has expressed profound appreciation to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the expansion of the Nigerian Army from eight to twelve divisions and the recruitment of 28,000 additional personnel to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.
This is contained in a statement signed by Adewumi Adekunle James, Press Secretary to the National President, Omo Ibile Igbomina, and made available to Newsmen in Ilorin.
Sir Fakayode described the establishment of the 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin, with operational responsibility for Kwara and Niger States, as a strategic milestone that will significantly enhance military operations and improve the response to the growing threats of banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities affecting Igbomina land and the entire Kwara South Senatorial District.
He also commended the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture.
According to him, the Governor’s sustained investment in security has continued to complement the Federal Government’s efforts while creating an enabling environment for socio-economic development and community-driven initiatives across the state.
The Omo Ibile Igbomina President further applauded President Tinubu for the successful establishment of the Nigerian Army Battalion in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area,
He described the development as a landmark achievement for Igbomina land and Kwara South. He expressed confidence that the Battalion, working in synergy with the newly established 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin, would strengthen intelligence gathering, improve rapid military response, curb criminal activities and restore confidence among residents, farmers, investors and road users throughout the region.
He noted that the two military formations would not only reinforce the security of lives and property but also stimulate economic activities by creating a safer environment for agriculture, commerce and investment.
