AOT Lauds President Tinubu for Approving New Army Battalion in Kwara

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT), has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the establishment of a new Nigerian Army Battalion in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a statement personally signed by him and made available to Choice Reporters, Dr. Alabi described the approval as a significant milestone in the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen national security and tackle banditry, terrorism and other forms of criminality across the country.
According to him, the President’s decision demonstrates his unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians while ensuring improved security and lasting peace in all parts of the country.
Alabi noted that the establishment of the Army Battalion in Omu-Aran is a strategic intervention that will reinforce the security architecture of Kwara South Senatorial District and neighbouring communities.
He expressed confidence that the new military formation would enhance intelligence gathering, improve rapid response to security threats, boost public confidence and create a safer environment for businesses, farmers, investors and residents.
The APC stalwart further praised President Tinubu’s leadership, describing the approval as evidence of the administration’s responsiveness to the security concerns of Nigerians.
He said the establishment of the battalion would not only strengthen efforts to combat criminal activities but also promote socio-economic development by creating a more secure and peaceful environment for economic activities to thrive.
Dr. Alabi reaffirmed his confidence in President Tinubu’s commitment to securing every part of Nigeria and expressed optimism that the new Army Battalion would make a significant contribution to restoring peace and stability in Kwara State and beyond.
He concluded by thanking President Tinubu for what he described as a historic intervention, saying the people of Kwara State, particularly those in Kwara South and North would greatly benefit from the enhanced military presence.
