AOT Celebrates Igbaja Queens Club on First Anniversary, Applauds Its Social Impact Drive

Governorship aspirant and Community leader, Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi (AOT), has congratulated the Igbaja Queens Club (IQC) on its first anniversary, commending the women-led organisation for what he described as a growing and consistent contribution to grassroots development and social welfare in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a goodwill message marking the milestone, Dr. Alabi praised the club’s commitment to community service, describing its interventions in welfare support, education, and empowerment initiatives as a practical demonstration of citizen-driven development.
He noted that the emergence and steady growth of the organization reflect the power of collective responsibility, especially in addressing challenges affecting vulnerable groups within the community.
According to him, the activities of the Igbaja Queens Club within its first year including food support for indigent residents, educational assistance to students, and outreach programmes for elderly citizens have made a visible impact on local development efforts.
Dr. Alabi further commended the leadership of the club for sustaining unity, structure, and participation among members through coordinated programmes and consistent engagement, despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.
He described women-led initiatives as critical pillars of sustainable development, stressing that no society can achieve meaningful progress without the active involvement of women in community-building efforts.
AOT also expressed support for the club’s proposed vocational skills acquisition centre, describing it as a strategic intervention that could enhance youth empowerment, reduce unemployment, and promote economic independence within the community if fully implemented.
He urged relevant stakeholders, traditional institutions, and development partners to support the vision of the club, particularly its efforts aimed at strengthening education and expanding social welfare programmes.
The governorship hopeful also acknowledged the support of community leaders, including traditional authorities, for encouraging civic initiatives that promote unity and development across Igbaja.
He further appreciated the families and spouses of members of the club for their understanding and support, noting that such cooperation has contributed significantly to the stability and success of the organisation.
Dr. Alabi congratulated the leadership and members of the Igbaja Queens Club for what he described as a successful first year of purposeful service, praying for greater achievements, unity, and impact in the years ahead.
He expressed confidence that the organisation would continue to expand its developmental footprint and serve as a model for similar community-based initiatives across Kwara State and beyond.
