NSCDC Decorates 416 Officers in Kwara, Commandant Urges Commitment to Duty

 

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has decorated 416 officers who were recently promoted to new ranks.

The State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, urged the officers to embrace their new responsibilities with a heightened sense of duty and accountability.

The decoration ceremony, which took place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters in Ilorin, saw officers elevated to various ranks, including 21 Deputy Commandants of Corps, 10 Assistant Commandants of Corps, 13 Chief Superintendents of Corps, 48 Superintendents of Corps, 129 Deputy Superintendents of Corps, 127 Assistant Superintendents of Corps I, and 68 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II.

In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC1 Ayoola Michael Shola, Dr. Umar expressed his gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Tunji Ojo, and the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for approving the promotions in recognition of the officers’ dedication and hard work.

While congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Commandant charged them to redouble their efforts in actualizing the Corps’ mandate, emphasizing the need for commitment and service to the nation.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) Augustine Eramhaenze expressed appreciation for the promotion, attributing it to divine favor.

He assured that the officers would continue to perform their duties with diligence and dedication.
