Kwara Fire Service’s intervention averts fire incident in Ilorin

The Kwara State Fire Service on Sunday prevented a building located at Bilewu Compound opposite Oba ologun compound, Ita-Amodu area in Ilorin from being completely razed.

The Fire incident occurred few minutes past noon due to carelessness, which affected eight shops out of the forty rooms and twenty shops in the building.

The quick intervention of Firemen prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings in the area.

Speaking with newsmen, the Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince John Falade urged the people not to hesitate to call fire brigade on time whenever there is any fire emergency in their areas, to save lives and properties of the people.

Falade also implored the people to be vigilant and be safety conscious to prevent fire disaster as we approach dry season.
