Youth Unrest: Police Deploy Mobile Men, Tactical Team to Ballah, Eiyekorin

Kwara state Police Commissioner, Victor Olaiya, has deployed mobile men and tactical teams to Ballah area of Asa Local Government, as unrest and tension erupted on Tuesday morning.

According to an eye witness from Ballah junction Eyenkorin, he said that there is serious tension and unrest in the area..

Another source said “boys have been attacking and killing each other since Monday night and same has continued this Tuesday morning.”

The casualties involved in the reported violence could not be ascertained as at the time ofvthis report.

However, in a response to a text message sent to the commissioner of police by newsme in Ilorin on Tuesday, he said “mobile men and tactical teams have been deployed and presently on ground to ensure peace, please. Thank you very much.”
