Eld-el-Fitr: FRSC Deploys 182 Personnel to Strategic Locations in Bauchi
The Bauchi Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), says it has deployed 182 personnel across the state in preparation for the 2024 Eld-el-Fitr celebrations.
Mr Patrick Ikaba, The Sector Commander of the Corps, made this known on Tuesday in Bauchi.
According to him, the personnel included 118 regular marshals and 64 Special Marshals for patrols, traffic controls and traffic calming.
He said 11 patrol vehicles, four ambulances and one tow truck had also been deployed to strategic locations in the state to enhance emergency response operations during the period.
The sector commander said, “our personnel had also been posted to some local government areas where we do not have offices.”
“Effective collaboration with other sister agencies remains paramount in accident prevention and implementation of robust safety measures.
“All markets on major highways will be removed using joint Tax Force and FRSC operatives.”
“All Zebras and Road Traffic Crash clinics are to remain on standby throughout the Sallah festivities period in a bid to ensure crash free during Sallah.
He, therefore, urged motorists and other road users to always obey traffic rules and regulations.
