Dangote Sponsors Kaduna Fair, Supports Govt.’s Efforts,

Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) is a major sponsor of the 45th series of the Kaduna International Trade Fair, which opened at the weekend.

A statement by the Dangote Group Chief Branding and Corporate Communication Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina said DIL has been sponsoring the fair for decades for economic development of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

He said that the company will continue to do so through various life enhancing policies, programmes, and projects to contribute its quota to National Development

Chiejina urged participants, customers, and visitors to the fair to take advantage of Dangote products on display while assuring that the Business Units would offer necessary information regarding inquires at the fair.

Speaking at the event, Governor of Kaduna state, Sen. Uba Sani, represented by the Perm Sec, Business Innovation and Technology, Yau Saleh Anchau, said the Trade Fair is a celebration of entrepreneurial spirit and economic vitality that defines the state.

He disclosed that the government is supporting 4000 medium and small-scale enterprises with N44BN to enhance the lifeblood of the state economy.

In his comments, President of KACCIMA, Esv. Ishaya Idi, Fnivs, appealed to the private sector to adjust its business strategies from being solely import focused to export ready in terms of intermediary and finished products.

“Government should focus on policies and programmes of cost-effective industrialization and export competitiveness,” he said.

Idi described the Federal Government’s bid to achieve food security as commendable, with the additional concrete actions as, in the right direction to bring the Nigerian economy back to its feet.
