Cleric Urges President Tinubu To Tackle Corruption, Strengthen Institutions
President Bola Tinubu has been charged to do whatever is required in taking Nigeria on the part of meaningful development, strengthen institutions and reduce corruption to its barest minimum, if not eradicated.
In his message to the Nation on its sixty third Independence Anniversary, Executive Secretary ECWA Fate/Tanke DCC,
Reverend Doctor Joseph Olabanji Agboluaje said a journey of 63 years in the life of a man and a Nation is a long journey that is supposed to be filled with meaningful progress.
Reverend Agboluaje called on the federal government and the organized Labour Unions to resolve their current face-off amicably adding that all efforts should be put in place to avoid strikes at this particular when Nigeria’s economy striving to survive.
The Cleric explained “as God’s Servant, I celebrate Nigeria and Nigeria at 63. Upon the storms, ups, and downs, progress, and adversity, God still keeps us as an entity which to me calls for celebration”.
He commended the Judiciary at all levels, especially in the various outcomes of the elections tribunal stressing that one way to deepen democracy and the rule of law is the independence of the judiciary, the third arm of Government.
Reverend Agboluaje also applauded the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his drive and passion in terms of infrastructural development across the State.
The Executive Secretary reminded Governor AbdulRasaq on the deplorable condition of some of the State roads that can bane the economic sustainability in the State, “it is worthy of mentioning the bad conditions of the Igbaja -Oke Ode -Shagbe- Oreke road which needs urgent attention.
He also called on the Governor to open up Oro Ago -Oreke-Okegbo road for the smooth transport of farm products from rural to urban and the development of the area.
On security, Reverend Agboluaje charged the security men in the State to urgently do what is necessary in ile ire district, in Ifelodun local governments of Kwara State where criminals are making life unbearable for the dwellers.
“This has made traveling home by sons and daughters of the area become worrisome” he added.
“Conclusively, I charge Kwarans to support the action governor to carry out all his good programs, since no leader can succeed without the support of the followers” he noted.
