Gov AbdulRazaq Swears-In New Commissioners, Appoints SSG, Two PLWDs As Perm Secs
Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara
The Kwara State Government, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has sworn in 17 of the 18 commissioner-nominees earlier cleared by the Kwara State House of Assembly.
The new commissioners are, Abdulganiyu AbdulAzeez (Ministry of Energy); Alhaji Aliyu Kora Sabi (Ministry of Planning and Economic Development); Sheu Ndanusa Usman (Ministry of Environment); Afolasade Opeyemi Kemi (Ministry of Social Development); Doctor Segun Ogunsola (Ministry of Housing and Urban Development); Abdulquawiy Olododo (Ministry of Solid Minerals); Senior Ibrahim Suleiman (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice);
Others are Dr Hauwa Nuru (Ministry of Finance); Damilola Yusuf (Ministry of Business Innovation and Technology); Oloruntoyosi Thomas (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); and Bola Olukoju (Ministry of Communications).
Others are, Abubakar Abdullahi Bata (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); Bello John Olanrewaju (Ministry of Special Duties); Doctor Amina El-Imam (Ministry of Health); Doctor Mary Arinde (Ministry of Tertiary Education); Olaitan Buraimoh (Ministry of Women Affairs) and Usman Yunusa (Ministry of Water Resources)
Governor AbdulRazaq also appointed Alhaji Mahe AAbdul Kadiras as the new Permanent Secretary for the state.
AbdulKadir, a retired Permanent Secretary, replaced Prof. Mamman Saba Jubril who served in Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s first term tenure between 2019 and 2023.
Similarly, the Governor also appointed and sworn in two Persons Living With Disabilities as Permanent Secretaries in the state.
