Kwara South, Kwara Central Youths Back Ministerial Position For Kwara North

Coalition of Kwara South and Kwara Central Progressive Youths (CKSCP) have backed the agitation by the Kwara North to be considered first for ministerial position slots to the state.

In a statement by the group’s spokesman,
Ambassador Anjorin Babatunde Samuel, the people said that their support for the Kwara North was for the purpose of promoting harmonious co-existence based on principles of natural justice of fairness and equity.

“We, the Coalition of a body of principled political youths across Kwara South and Kwara Central Senatorial districts, hereby state that; based on the available records, since 1999 to date of 24 years current democratic dispensation, Kwara North has been making the social statement of live and let others live for good neighbourliness.

“Kwara North has been making the economic statement by contributing the highest federal allocations accruing to the 16 LGAs in the State of Harmony.

Within the last two decades, a careful study of the RMAFC allocations shows the five LGAs of Kwara North earned about 40% of the total hundreds of billions that is accrued to the LGAs in Kwara, while the rest is shared by other Senatorial Districts.

“Likewise, KWAREVE (the monthly Magazine of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service) reports of 2015 and 2016 shows Kwara North generated the highest IGR.
Also, a careful perusal of Kwara LGA Auditor-General’s Annual Reports, had consistently established Kwara North being the top most IGR generation in the State.

“All these underscores the value of that part of the State in the socio-economic sustenance of the State.
Also it is worthy to state that the Kwara North is the food basket of the State. This has been few of the economic contributions of this Senatorial district to the state. Politically, the Kwara North has been loyal to the party and this is a very good spirit of real sportsmanship.

“Following the facts and records on the ground, we amalgamated concerned Youths from across Kwara South and Kwara Central have researched and come out with the following:

“Since 1999 till date, Kwara State has produced about nine ministers, from Kwara North (Dr. Hajia Aminat Ndalolo and Isa Bio Ibrahim), three are from Kwara South (C.O. Adebayo, late Ms. Funke Adedoyin and Alhaji Lai Mohammed, while three ministers (Arch. Tayo Alao, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi) has emerged from Kwara Central senatorial district.

“Following the same records, three ministers were picked from Kwara Central and Kwara South respectively, leaving Kwara North with neither the Governorship, Ministerial positions.

“Despite the fact that the opposition party flag bearer (Alhaji Yaman) in the last gubernatorial election was from Edu, Kwara North, the good people of Kwara North pull all their support for APC both for the presidential election and the governorship election.

“With this, we have concluded to uphold truth and fairness by throwing our weight behind the Kwara North for the next ministerial position to balance the odd and pay back their loyalty with equal dividends.

“On the above grounds, (CKSCP) urges the All Progressive Congress (APC) under the leadership of Chairman, Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF), H.E AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, and the President elect, H.E Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu G.C.F.R to first consider Kwara North with full cabinet minister, so as to strengthen peaceful political coexistence between all Kwarans”.
