DR. Alabi Congratulates Traditional Rulers on Elevation to First-Class Status in Kwara

Dr Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen, AOT, has heartily felicitated all the revered traditional rulers and the good people of their respective kingdoms on the well-deserved elevation of their traditional stools to First-Class status by the Kwara State Government.

This is contained in a statement issued by his media team on Wednesday in Ilorin and made available to newsmen.

“I celebrate with His Royal Highness, Oba Mufutau Ibrahim Akanbi Adebayo, Ilufemiloye I, the Elesa of Oke-Ode; His Royal Highness, Oba Yakubu Adebayo Buhari Ilufemiloye, the Olomu of Omupo; His Royal Highness, Oba Johnson Olarewaju Dada Adekilutoro I, the Oloro of Oro-Ago Kingdom; and His Royal Highness, Oba Alhaji Abdulwahab Oyewale Oyetoro, the Onira of Ira.

“This historic development is a moment of great joy and pride for Oke-Ode, Omupo, Oro-Ago and Ira, as well as their sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora. It is also a significant recognition of the historical, cultural and traditional importance of these communities to Kwara State.

“Our traditional institutions represent far more than royal stools. They are custodians of our history, culture and values; symbols of our collective identity; instruments of community cohesion; and enduring bridges between the past, present and future.

“The elevation of these traditional stools is, therefore, not merely an enhancement of status. It is a profound recognition of the heritage, contributions and enduring significance of these kingdoms and their people.

“I commend the Kwara State Government for this important decision, which will further strengthen the institution of traditional leadership and promote greater recognition of our communities within the state.

“To our esteemed Kabiyesis, I pray that Almighty God grants you long life, sound health, greater wisdom, strength and divine guidance as you continue to provide purposeful leadership to your people.

Dr Alabi prayed that may their reigns continue to be marked by peace, unity, justice, development and prosperity, and may their elevated positions serve as catalysts for greater progress in your respective domains.

He equally extended his warm congratulations to the royal families, traditional councils, community leaders and the entire people of Oke-Ode, Omupo, Oro-Ago and Ira on this memorable milestone.

According to him, “may this new chapter bring greater honour, dignity, unity and development to your kingdoms, and may the elevation further inspire our people to preserve our rich heritage while working collectively for a more prosperous future.

“Congratulations to our revered Kabiyesis and the good people of these great kingdoms”, Alabi added.
