Alabi Congratulates AbdulRazaq on Historic Turbaning as Sardauna Ngeri of Ilorin

Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen, PhD, has congratulated the Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on his historic turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of his family, political associates and well-wishers, Dr. Alabi described the conferment of the prestigious traditional title as a significant honour that underscores Governor AbdulRazaq’s contributions to the development, peace and progress of Kwara State and the Ilorin Emirate.
He said the traditional institution’s recognition of the Governor was particularly significant because the title of Sardauna carries historical associations with leadership, statesmanship, service, courage, protection and commitment to the wellbeing of the people.
According to Dr. Alabi, the honour represents not only a recognition of Governor AbdulRazaq’s position as the state’s chief executive but also an acknowledgement of his role in promoting the interests of the people and contributing to the growth and development of the state.
He noted that the Governor’s administration had continued to place emphasis on infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic development, youth empowerment and other initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of residents.
Dr. Alabi also commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, for the conferment of the traditional title, describing the Emirate as an institution whose historical and cultural significance continues to play an important role in fostering unity, peace and development.
He urged Governor AbdulRazaq to see the new traditional responsibility as an additional call to service and an opportunity to further strengthen the bond between the traditional institution, government and the people.
He said the title should inspire renewed commitment to the values of unity, peace, justice, service and collective prosperity, adding that the development of Kwara requires the cooperation of political leaders, traditional institutions, religious leaders, professionals, youths, women and other stakeholders.
Dr. Alabi prayed that Almighty Allah would grant Governor AbdulRazaq greater wisdom, strength, sound judgment and good health as he continues to serve the people of Kwara State and contribute to the development of the Ilorin Emirate.
He further prayed for the continued peace, stability and prosperity of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State, while wishing the Governor a successful tenure in his new traditional role.
