AOT Congratulates Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on His Official Turbaning as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate

Governorship aspirant and public affairs advocate, Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi (AOT), has congratulated Sheikh Al-Imam Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his installation as the 13th Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirate, describing his emergence as a significant milestone in the religious and socio-cultural history of the Emirate.
In a congratulatory message issued on the occasion, Dr. Alabi said the appointment of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki reflects the confidence reposed in his scholarship, integrity, piety, and commitment to the propagation of Islam.
AOT noted that the office of the Chief Imam occupies a unique and revered position in the Ilorin Emirate, serving not only as the spiritual head of the Muslim faithful but also as a symbol of unity, moral guidance, and peaceful coexistence among the people.
According to him, the installation of the new Chief Imam comes at a time when society is in dire need of sound spiritual leadership capable of promoting justice, compassion, tolerance, and adherence to the teachings of Islam.
“I heartily congratulate Sheikh Al-Imam Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his well-deserved installation as the 13th Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirate. This is a divine call to greater service, and I am confident that Allah has prepared him for the enormous responsibilities that accompany this exalted office.”
Dr. Alabi described the new Chief Imam as a respected Islamic scholar whose depth of knowledge, humility, exemplary character, and dedication to the service of Islam have earned him admiration within and beyond the Ilorin Emirate.
He expressed optimism that the new religious leader would build on the enduring legacies of his predecessors by strengthening Islamic values, fostering unity among the Muslim Ummah, promoting peaceful coexistence, and offering wise counsel on matters affecting the Emirate, Kwara State, and Nigeria.
The governorship hopeful further urged Muslims to rally around the new Chief Imam with sincere prayers, unwavering support, and cooperation, stressing that the success of religious institutions depends on the collective commitment of the faithful.
AOT also paid tribute to the late Chief Imam for his years of devoted service to Islam and the Ilorin Emirate, praying that Almighty Allah grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus and rewards his lifetime of service to the Muslim community.
He prayed that Almighty Allah endows Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki with abundant wisdom, sound health, patience, strength, and divine guidance to discharge the sacred responsibilities of his office with excellence and fairness.
