Kwara South Security Project Begins Forest Patrols With Drone Demonstration to Public

Joint security forces have commenced patrol operations across forest belts and border communities in Kwara South under the Keep Kwara South Safe Project.

The patrol exercise, which began on Sunday, is aimed at strengthening surveillance and enhancing rapid response in areas identified as security flashpoints across the senatorial district.

Speaking on the development, the Coordinator of Joint Security Watch Kwara South, Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, described the operation as a proactive and intelligence-driven initiative designed to protect lives and property.

“This is a proactive, intelligence-driven exercise to safeguard lives and property. We urge residents to remain calm, go about their lawful activities, and cooperate with security personnel on patrol,” he said.

Oyin-Zubair also commended traditional rulers and community leaders for their continued support toward maintaining peace and stability across Kwara South.

“Our royal fathers and community leaders have been vital partners in keeping Kwara South stable. Their support strengthens every step we take,” he added.

As part of activities under the initiative, the Keep Kwara South Safe Project will hold a public drone demonstration on Tuesday by 10:00 a.m. at the Area Command, Ajasepo, along Ajasepo/Offa Road.

According to organisers, the event will provide traditional rulers, community leaders, and residents the opportunity to witness how drone technology is being deployed to support surveillance and security operations in the region.
