Dr Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Officially Joins Kwara Governorship Race, Picks APC Nomination Form

 

Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT), a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship hopeful, on Wednesday in Abuja officially obtained the party’s governorship nomination and expression of interest forms, signaling his formal entry into the race for the Kwara State Government House.

The official purchase, held at Ladi Kwali Conference center Abuja drew a massive crowd of friends, well-wishers, political associates, and party faithfu, who turned the event into a carnival of solidarity and confidence.

Speaking shortly after completing the process, Dr. Alabi described the development as a major milestone in his political journey and a bold step towards what he called a renewed vision for Kwara State.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Today, we have taken a bold and decisive step towards the Kwara State Government House,” he stated.

The governorship hopeful expressed confidence in the success of his aspiration, noting that the collection of the forms and completion of all required payments marked the beginning of a people-driven movement aimed at repositioning the state for greater growth and prosperity.

“With the collection of these forms and the full payment completed, we are counting on the support of the good people of Kwara State to make this vision a reality,” he said.

Dr. Alabi stressed that his ambition is rooted in service, purposeful leadership, and a commitment to delivering tangible development across the state.

“We are not in this race to make up the numbers; we are in it to win. By the grace of God, victory will be ours, and His Name shall be glorified,” he added.

Highlighting the vast potential of Kwara State, the APC stalwart said the state possesses enormous human and natural resources capable of driving sustainable development if properly harnessed through visionary leadership.

“Kwara State is richly blessed with fertile land, resilient people, a vibrant culture, intellect, and enterprise. However, potential alone does not build prosperity,” he noted.

According to him, his decision to formally enter the governorship race followed months of consultations and interactions with stakeholders and residents across different sectors of the state.

“I have listened. I have studied. I have engaged with farmers, traders in Oja Oba, students in Ilorin, artisans, and entrepreneurs across the state.

The message is clear: Kwarans desire inclusive prosperity,” he stated further.

Dr. Alabi also explained that his aspiration aligns with the progressive ideals of the APC and reflects the collective desire of many party stakeholders and citizens for a more prosperous and inclusive Kwara State.

“After wide consultations with stakeholders within our great party and across Kwara State, and in alignment with the progressive ideals of the APC, I have decided to pick the nomination form to contest for the governorship seat,” he stated.
