IDF Eliminates Two Hezbollah Leaders in Lebanon

BREAKING – Eliminated:* An Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed Ali Yusuf Harshi, a senior Hezbollah figure closely tied to the organization’s leadership, and Maher Qassem Hamdan, the IDF announced.
According to the military, Harshi—identified as a nephew and personal secretary to Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem—was struck in the Tallet Khayat area of Beirut, outside the group’s traditional Dahiyeh stronghold. Footage from the scene showed significant damage, including the partial collapse of a multi-story building.
The IDF described Harshi as a key aide and trusted advisor who played a central role in overseeing Qassem’s office operations and security coordination.
In parallel operations overnight, Israeli forces targeted two major crossings along the Litani River, which the military says were used by Hezbollah to move large quantities of weapons, including rockets and launch systems, into southern Lebanon.
The IDF added that approximately 10 additional targets were struck across southern Lebanon, including weapons storage sites, rocket launchers, and Hezbollah command facilities.
Also, an Israeli airstrike in Sidon yesterday killed a senior commander from a Hezbollah-backed militia along with eight additional operatives, according to the IDF.
The target, identified as Maher Qassem Hamdan, led the Lebanese Resistance Companies in the Shebaa region near Israel’s northern border. The group—also referred to as the Lebanese Resistance Brigades—is backed, funded, and armed by Hezbollah.
The IDF says Hamdan played a central role in recruiting operatives, distributing weapons, and financing militant activity in the Shebaa area.
According to the military, Hamdan and several members of the group had recently relocated from Shebaa to Sidon, where they were subsequently tracked and eliminated in the strike.
