Omo Igbomina Lauds Release of Abducted Adanla Indigenes, Kwara Govt Calls For Vigilance 

 

The National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Sir Bisi Fakayode, has expressed deep gratitude to God Almighty following the safe release of nine abducted sons and daughters of Adanla Community after sixty-nine days in captivity.

This is contained in a statement signed by Adewumi Adekunle James, Press Secretary to the National President, Omo Ibile Igbomina and made available to newsmen on Friday.

He described their release as immense relief across Igbomina land.

According to him,  the development is a moment of renewed hope and collective relief,

Sir Fakayode noted that the entire Igbomina nation had shared in the pain and anxiety of the affected families and community during the difficult period and expressed joy that the victims have now been safely reunited with their loved ones.

The Omo Ibile Igbomina leader therefore, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his administration’s sustained commitment to the safety and security of lives and property across the state.

He also commended the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Honourable Femi Yusuf, for his unwavering support and tireless efforts throughout the challenging period, particularly in ensuring the restoration of peace and security in the affected communities.

Sir Fakayode further appreciated community leaders, stakeholders, and well-meaning individuals who stood by the people of Adanla during the trying periods through prayers, moral support, and other forms of assistance,

He described the unity, resilience, and cooperation displayed by the people as a clear demonstration of the enduring spirit of the Igbomina nation.

In the same spirit of gratitude, the National President emphasized that under the current leadership transformation agenda of “Rescue, Revitalize and Rebuild the Igbomina Nation,” security remains one of the topmost priorities of Omo Ibile Igbomina, nothing that the organisation has already begun deliberate efforts to re-organize and restructure collaborative security frameworks within Igbomina communities, including strengthening engagement with religious leaders, traditional institutions, community leaders, relevant stakeholders, and other relevant grassroots structures that can support intelligence gathering, community vigilance, and proactive response to security concerns.

He assured the people of Igbomina land that Omo Ibile Igbomina will continue to collaborate with relevant authorities and community stakeholders to strengthen security structures and safeguard the lives and property of all residents

Urging citizens across Igbomina communities to remain vigilant and security-conscious, the National President emphasizing that collective alertness, prompt information sharing, and cooperation with security agencies remain vital in preventing future security threats

Sir Fakayode reaffirmed that Omo Ibile Igbomina will remain steadfast in its commitment to the safety, unity, and progress of the Igbomina people and will not relent in supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and sustainable development across the land.
