Dr. Alabi Commends Kwara Govt on Reopening of Schools, Assures Stakeholders of Support

Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi, philanthropist, education advocate and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Catering Company, owners of Promise Fast Food, has commended the Kwara State Government for approving the reopening of schools across the state following improved security conditions.
Reacting to the announcement by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, Dr. Alabi described the decision as “a reassuring demonstration of responsible governance that places the safety, education and future of Kwara children at the centre of policy decisions.”
Alabi, in a statement by his media team, praised the government for its proactive collaboration with security agencies to neutralise threats and restore confidence in the school system, noting that education must not be held hostage by insecurity.
“The reopening of schools signals hope to parents, teachers and students. It reflects the government’s commitment to safeguarding learning environments while sustaining security operations to protect lives and property,” Dr. Alabi said.
Dr. Alabi, APC chieftain, also lauded the emphasis on vigilance and community resilience, stressing that education thrives best when government, security agencies, communities and parents work together.
He urged school administrators, teachers and parents to cooperate fully with security guidelines and remain alert, adding that the safety of learners is a shared responsibility.
While reaffirming his continued support for policies that strengthen education and human capital development in Kwara State, Dr. Alabi expressed confidence that the sustained security efforts would ensure uninterrupted academic activities.
“Education is the foundation of development. By restoring learning under improved security, the Kwara State Government, under our able Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is investing wisely in the future of the state,” he added.
Dr. Alabi concluded by encouraging students to return to school with renewed focus, assuring them of the collective commitment of government and stakeholders to their safety and success.
