Israeli Police Spokesperson: Undercover officers from the Judea Crime Fighting Unit (YLP), in cooperation with the IDF’s Judea Brigade, acted on intelligence about a vehicle transporting illegal weapons near Hebron last night.
The suspect, upon noticing the forces, abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. During a search of the area, officers discovered a box discarded by the suspect containing an M-16 assault rifle with a silencer and magazines.
The suspect, an Arab resident of Hebron, was arrested and is under investigation by the YLP.
Israeli Police, in cooperation with security forces, continue efforts to thwart terrorism and illegal weapons use.

Meanwhile a report in the Wall Street Journal said that Iran has threatened Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar not to allow Israel to attack through their territory or airspace.
