Bishops Abioye, Aremu Bow Out Of Winners Church
The Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chapel is set to celebrate the exit of the church’s two vice presidents, Bishops David Abioye and Thomas Aremu, as they retire from the church. Their retirement takes effect from October 2024.
It was gathered that their retirement was in line with the rules of the Mandate which is the operational manual of the Liberation Commission.
According to the revised Mandate, the new age of retirement which was formerly 60 is now 58. Bishop Abioye is 63 while Bishop Aremu is 67.
Only the Founder will have the privilege of a lifetime of service after which every future leader of the Commission will serve for one term or a maximum of two terms of seven years each subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees.
According to a recent announcement, Bishop Thomas Aremu’s valedictory service will take place at LFC Basorun, Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Also according to Church Gist sources, Bishop David Abioye’s valedictory service is scheduled to hold in Durumi, Abuja on Friday 18th October 2024.
Bishop Abioye first met Bishop Oyedepo in 1979 and has been his right hand man since then was sent out to pastor one of the five pioneer branches in 1987. Furthermore, he was consecrated as a bishop in 1993 in Garden of Faith, Barnawa, Kaduna at the age of 32.
In the same vein, Bishop Aremu who joined the ministry full-time after serving as an accountant in secular organisations is the only one among the seven bishops consecrated in November 1999 at Garden of Faith, Kaduna that remained in the church till date.
This is the first time that Living Faith Church will publicly celebrate the retirement of its pastors. (FTN)
