Islamic Cleric Tasks Muslims Righteousness, Forgiveness, Good Deeds

 

Muslim faithful have been reminded of the need to live a righteous life, seeking forgiveness and performing good deeds in preparation for death, which may come any time.

An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Suleiman Danborno made the admonition in Ilorin, during the fidau prayer for the late Justice Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal.

In a thought-provoking lecture, Sheik Suleiman Dan Borno encouraged Muslim Faithful to reflect on their actions, repent, and strive for spiritual growth in anticipation of the hereafter.

He noted that the Glorious Quran has emphasized the certainty and importance of preparing for death.

The Islamic Cleric described the late Justice Belgore as a dedicated Muslim from a prestigious family who served Almighty Allah wholeheartedly during his lifetime.

The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam-Solih led the Fidau prayer, assisted by other prominent clerics in the Ilorin Emirate.

Late Justice Ahmed Olanrewaju Belgore died last Tuesday, on the last day of Ramadan, shortly after breaking his fast.

He was buried at his family compound on Wednesday.
