By-Election: FRSC Deploys 64 Personnel in Bauchi State

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed not less than 65 personnel to ensure orderliness in the Saturday by-election in Bauchi state.
The Sector Commander of the corps in the state, Mr Patrick Ikaba disclosed this in Bauchi on Friday.
Four Bauchi State Assembly by-election had been scheduled for Saturday Feb 3, 2024 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The rerun election would be conducted in 42 Polling units of the affected Local Government Areas of the state comprising Bauchi, Katagum and Ningi.
Ikaba said that the duty of the personnel is to make sure that there is orderliness in every polling unit they were posted to and also to ensure that voters were properly accredited.
“They are also to make sure that no infiltrator or people with bad intentions gain access to the polling units,” he said.
According to him, the FRSC is in collaboration with sister agencies to ensure free, fair, credible elections and to also maintain peace and order.
