Breaking: Alleged CBN Payment Platform Breakdown Cripples FG Agencies’ Operations

There are fears that activities might gradually ground to a halt in most Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government due to an alleged breakdown of Unified Financial Payment Platform of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Flowerbudnews investigation showed that many MDAs have been unable to meet their financial obligations since about two weeks due to the alleged CBN payment facility breakdown.
Reliable sources in several MDAs told Flowerbudnews that efforts to get the real truth from the CBN were abortive as everyone contacted was attributing the situation to ”facility breakdown”.
”The truth of the situation as we are experiencing, is that most MDAs are unable to disburse fund to meet their operational activities and fulfil other financial obligations,” a highly placed source in one of the MDAs told Flowerbudnews.
”This is crippling operations of Agencies,” one source lamented, adding that ”MDAs are crucial to the functioning of government as they act as catalysts for realisation and achievement of government’s socio-economic goals for the betterment of the populace”
The sources, who preferred anonymity, informed Flowerbudnews that, there were already suspicion that ”this CBN financial lockdown of FG’s MDAs” could be another attempt to sabotage the new administration.
‘A source disclosed that ”this so called CBN financial payment platform failure began shortly before the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu and has dragged till now.
”We are only hoping it is not an effort to sabotage the new administration,” another source stressed,.
The sources urged President Tinubu to urgently look into the alleged CBN facility breakdown to avoid a total paralysis of the operations and activities of the MDAs.
Sources at CBN also attributed the financial paralysis of the MDAs to – payment platform breakdown (Flowerbudnews)
