Kwara State Fire Service Saves Building From Scathefire

The Kwara State Fire Service on Thursday night Saved a building from Scathefire at Sawmill, Mubo Street, Maraba area, Ilorin.

This is contained in a statement signed by Hassan Adekunle, Head of Department, Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service in Ilorin.

“The incident occurred on 2nd of March, 2023 at about 19:04 hours (07:04PM) at No. 4, Opposite Saw mail Mubo face two Maraba area ilorin, ilorin East local Government area kwara state.

“The Brigade got to know of the fire incident through the Telephone call done by one anonymous person leaving very close to the scene of occurrence.

“Firemen were able to eliminate the ravaging fire on time, and out of the 2bedrooms self-contained flat in the building only store and kitchen were affected by burning fire.

“The cause of the fire was due to the power surge.

“Therefore, the Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa urged general public to always play safe especially during this period and not to hesitate to call fire brigade on time whenever there is any fire emergency in their areas, as this would save lives and properties of people in the state,” Adekunle said.

Totalimstimatedttroperty saved by the fire service was put at N36.2million, while estimated good lost to the fire was put at N4.3 million.
