Ex-NAN Acting MD, Editor-In-Chief, Ibrahim Mamnaga, Dies At 62

A former Acting Managing Director and former Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) ,Alhaji Ibrahim Mamnaga, is dead.

Mamnaga’s Senior Brother, Malam Zubairu Abdullahi, announced his demise on Thursday in Kano.

Abdullahi said the deceased fell sick today (Thursday) in the afternoon, and was admitted at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where he later died.

He said that Mammaga died at the age of 62 after a brief illness, and that he left behind a wife and six children.

The deceased has already been buried at the Tarauni cemetery,Kano, in accordance with Islamic injunctions.

Choicereporters report that Mamnaga, who also served as Head of NAN Lagos Operations, as well as Zonal Manager, NAN, Kaduna, retired from service on April 1, 2020, having attained 60 years of age.
