HRM Oba Muhammad Yaqub Buari Celebrates Anniversary With Prayers By Olatidoye Akeem

On Monday, June 13th 2022 the Olomu of Omupo in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, HRM, Oba (Alhaji) Muhammed Yaqub Adebayo Buari Clerics , distinguished personalities, captain of industries,Politicians ,academicians , students among other influential personalities converged in the town to celebrate the joined the 12 years coronation anniversary of the monarch.

In his remark at the event which lasted for three days, Oba Muhammed Yaqub Adebayo Buari said the entire Omupo community has reasons to appreciate God in both the lives of sons and daughters of the town as well as the ruler.

According to him, both the Muslims and Christians in the town have been the strength of Omupo through constant prayers to God for peace , growth, development and unity among the people.

Oba Adebayo said” both religions in Omupo have always support us with prayers . What we are celebrating today is the manifestation of their prayers support supports and we shall forever be grateful to God and for the Clerics”.

He however prayed to God for more support and more devine intervention in the progress of Omupo .

The ruler emphasized that both religions preaches love , peace, unity , tolerance , among other quality characters . ” I will enjoin every one to see each other as one family. Continue to assist yourself. Always support Omupo and do good to others that are not from Omupo”.

Oba Buari appealed to the residence of Omupo to continue to leave in peace and unity with people from other communities around Omupo.

Olomu who appreciated God in the lives of the people and promised that the people and the town will witness more development during his throne .

He thanked everyone for their support for the town in the last 12 years when he was crowned as the Olomu of Omupo .

Oba Adebayo who also specifically appreciated the Balogun of Omupo town, Alhaji Abdulfatahi Balogun for his unalloyed and immense support for Omupo and his tenure.

He then solicited for more support for the completion of the renovation of the Ultra Modern Omupo City Hall. ” I want to extend my profound appreciation to those has donated resources for the project. I want to appeal for more so that the Omupo City Hall can be completed as soon as possible”.

The President of the Omupo Descendants Union (ODU) Dr Monisoye Afolabi, after reading from the Holy Bible, stressed the need for unity and harmony among the people in the community.

He said the prayer was organised to commemorate the coronation of the Olomu of Omupo, Oba Yakub Adebayo Ilufemiloye Buari.

The National President appealed to community members home and abroad to cotinue to support the development efforts of the Olomu and the ODU in a bid to move the community forward.

According to him, the prayer becomes very important because Almighty God rules in the affairs of the people and without God, who owns and spares our lives, we can do nothing.

“I want to charge the community members young and old, particularly the youth to move closer to God and participate in the development of the community in the interest of all.

“We must not relent in praying for our community and the Kabiyesi for the peace, security and development of the town. We don’t have any other place we can call our home.

“Therefore, let us show more interest in the development and security of the community ” he said.

The Cheif Imam of Omupo, Sheikh Bashir Adedoyin in his sermon enjoined well meaning sons and daughters of Omupo to contribute to the development of Omupo.

The Cleric stated that, there has been unprecedented development in Omupo since Oba Muhammed Yaqub Adebayo Buari assumed office as the ruler of Omupo.

He mentioned that the town has been peaceful and there is unity among the Oba and his chiefs .

He informed that the community during the anniversary offered special prayers for the development of Omupo and also for the sons and daughters of the town.

Bashir said there is also unity between the Muslims and the Christians in Omupo.
