By Taiwo Ogunniyi, Ilorin

Intending Pilgrims from Kwara State to the Holy Cities of Israel and Jordan have again been enjoined to be of good character and intercede for the betterment of the State and the Country at large.

Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi gave the charge today while addressing the Pilgrims at a sensitization programme held at ECWA Chapel, Ilorin.

Deputy Governor, who was represented by Special Adviser on Religion, Christian, Reverend Timothy Akande said the programme is pertinent to put the intending Pilgrims abreast on information necessary to make their journey a successful one.

Mr Alabi noted that the state government would not relent in promoting religious harmony to ensure peaceful co-existence and charged the Pilgrims to be Christ like in words and action.

The State Board Chairman, Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, Evangelist Timothy Opoola advised the intending pilgrims to actively participate in the programmes to make their travel a successful one and called on Christians to show more commitment towards Pilgrimage.
