Osun Speaker Urges Muslim Faithful To Forsake Old Ways

The Speaker State of Osun House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has advised the Muslim faithful to forsake all the past ways of life after the fasting period.

Hon. Owoeye made this known on Wednesday in his remarks during the this year Ramadan Lecture organized by Muslim Community, State of Osun House of Assembly Osogbo.

He urged the fasting Muslim faithfuls not to return into old ways of life living before the Ramadan.

He advised to belief only in Allah Almighty for everything while urging everyone to make use of all the lessons derive from the Ramadan.

According to him, “l urge you to only rely on Allah for good things of life”.

“I want you to make use of all lessons derive from Ramadan” he added.

He noted that it is good to seek someone Welfare’s always which pleases God most.

In his sermon, titled “Unity” the Chief Guest and Chief Imam of Offa land Sheikh Saliman Muideen Hussein described unity as tools for development.

He advised people to seek for unity among one another.

He noted that most of troubles were caused by disunity in the homes and society at large.

According to him, “The unity will lead to success, progress and development of the people and nation.

“I want you all to use your money and post for human development” he added.

He noted that money, post and trading are instruments of unity which people must use properly in life.

In his Vote of thanks, the Majority Leader of the House of Assembly Hon. Maroof Olanrewaju thanked all guests, honorable members, invited people and organizers of the programme for a successful Ramadan lecture.
