Team Kwara taking part at the ongoing Para National Sports Festival in Abuja have won three gold medal in the Badminton event.
Jeremiah Chigozie thrashed Muhammad from Kaduna State two straight sets twenty one-three and twenty one eight to clinch the first gold for the State in Badminton the men’s SL four.
Eniola Bolaji made it double for the State in the Female SL three final defeating Joy of Imo State twenty one-eight in the two sets.
The pairs of Jeremiah Chigozie and Eniola Bolaji sent out Munkwoba and Anna of Plateau State two straight sets in the mixed doubles final to clinch the third gold.
Speaking in a chat with our Sports Correspondent, the Kwara State Badminton Coach, Kayode Mope who thanked God for the privilege to attend the festival, expressed appreciation to the players for their commitment and dedication.
Coach Mope also acknowledged the support of the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the headship of the State Sports Commission and all stakeholders for their support and encouragement.
