Alabi tasks Christians on gratitude

Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi

As a new year starts, Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi, has urged Christians to imbibe the attitude of gratitude to God.

Alabi gave the advice at the New Year service held at Emmanuel Baptist Church Sabooke, Ilorin.

The Deputy Governor encouraged Christians not to be ungrateful to God but always to count their blessings and be grateful for what the Lord has done for them.

The year 2022, he said, “will be a good year for all. A year of open doors and fulfilment.”

Alabi implored all to pray for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the state to succeed as the 2023 elections approach.

He said the state needs God-fearing people at the helms of affairs in the state.

“Electing the right people into government is the work of everyone”, he said.

In his sermon, Rev Dr Olawuyi James said it is not by accident that God created humans and asked the people to appraise how fulfilled they are in their God-given assignments in the year 2021.

He emphasised that challenges are not to make Christians losers but to overcome as they cross over into the year 2022.
