FG approves repair work on old Moro Bridge as Kwara Gov visits Works Ministry

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday visited the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing to ensure immediate rehabilitation of the old Moro Bridge.

At the meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works in Abuja Alhaji Babangida Hussaini, the Governor got assurances that the Federal Government has now approved the repair of the old bridge while approvals are awaited for contract variations on the ongoing construction of the new Moro Bridge.

The worn-out old Moro bridge was recently shut down for safety reasons, while the state government appealed to the Federal Government to fix it urgently to ease human and vehicular traffic in that corridor.
