Gov’s Wife, AbdulRazaq tasks women on girls child education, morals

The Wife of the Kwara state Governor Amb. Olufolake AbdulRazaq has urged mothers to try all their possible means to make sure that their girls child knows what they are supposed to know at the right time and not to be harsh on them.
Speaking at the commemoration of UN International day of girl child in Ilorin the Kwara state capital, Amb. AbdulRazaq, noted that whatever their children become in future lies in their hands
“Let them know so that you too you will have rest of mind, so that they would be able to achieve their aims and objectives in life”
The governor’s wife was represented by the the State’s Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Aremu Abosede Demola
She urged parents to listen to their girls child ” they should also make sure that they let them know what they are supposed to know at the right time.
“When we talk about sex education they should also let them know what it entails so that they will not be victims of bad habit and they should not be too harsh on them, the teachers too should advice them,” she said
She noted that the state government has done a lot in other to protect the right of girls child in the state as they have child right law that has already passed into law in 2006 which comprises of rules and regulations that guide the girl child in the state as well as violence against person probition act when implemented would eradicate social vices in the community curb the menace in the state.
