NSCDC nabs young man on wanted list for alleged theft

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has arrested a young man, Saliu Raofeek, who had been declared wanted over an alleged theft of Motorcycle.

According to the spokesperson of the NSCDC, kwara state command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, the accused allegedly stole a motorcycle on Sallah day at a supermarket in Ilorin, where he was shopping.

“The young man was nabbed at a popular Supermarket around Taiwo area, Ilorin.

“It will be recalled that the middle aged man was accused of stealing a motor bike sometimes in May 2021 but evaded arrest and disappered into a thin air with the stolen bike”

“All efforts to apprehend him since then has proved abortive until he was picked up at a supermarket along Taiwo road in llorin.

“Around 1113 hours on Tuesday, two operatives from Akerebiata Division, who were on a surveillance around Taiwo road in ilorin sighted a suspect who has been on wanted list for a while.

“The suspect was accused of stealing of motor cycle and has since been on the run before his arrest on Sallah day,” he said.

He said the suspect, will be charged to court after the completion of further investigations.
