Suspected Herdsmen Alledgedly Attacked APC PRO’s Farm in Offa


Suspected Fulani heldsmen alledgedly attacked the farm which belong to Alhaji Tajudeen Aro, All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesman from offa. Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

This was contained in statement issued by the PRO NSCDC Kwara State Command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi (SC) and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara state Capital.

The statement reads: “The farm which located behind Offa university attacked by suspected herdsmen who were migrating from unknown location sited the famers at their farm at about 1800.00rhs on 18th June 2021carried out the unlawful act on the famers according to the information at our disposal .

“The farmers returns the attack in bid to over power the suspected herdsmen where one farmer, Yakub Salasi 27 years old sustained serious injuries and the suspects took to their heels when they noticed that the farmers had alerted the Offa civil defence JTF.

“On this note, the JFT Offa division and Vigillante went to the farm where the victim was rescue and moved to nearby hospital along Ile monan for treatment.

“Meanwhile in effort of Offa civil defence JTF to arrest the suspects the cows which belong to the suspected herdsmen were recorverd at the farm where most of the cows were injured by Farmers.

“Later Alhaji Sabo Yaro, a Fulani man intervened and promised that he will assist us to smoke out the suspects .

“The victims were later transfered to Abdulsalam hospital Offa for further treatment and so the cows and victim were referred to Offa division for proper investigation and necessary action” the statement said.
