Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday paid a working visit to Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun local government area with a promise to revamp the remaining lots of the Oyun waterworks and other basic amenities in the community.
The administration has recently revamped the lot 1 of the expansive water works, which serves Offa and its environs. Ajase-Ipo, Ipe, Igosun, and a few other communities are served by the other lot of the water facility.
The governor also promised to make the International Vocational and Technical College (IVTEC) in Ajase-Ipo fully operational in the interest of the state.
“This is a working visit to Ajase-Ipo and its environs, to meet with traditional rulers on how to better our communities.
“The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo took us round the community to show us what projects they want to advance. That is why we are here to make sure that the right things are done,” AbdulRazaq told newsmen on the sidelines of the visit.
“We have assured them that the water works will be back in order, to ensure that water is delivered to our people; we will work on the road and make sure that the IVTEC is put into full use.”
AbdulRazaq, who was conducted round the waterworks, IVTEC and some roads by the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, said the administration will continue to invest in human capital and infrastructural development for socio-economic growth of the state.
Oba Alebiosu applauded Governor AbdulRazaq for his interest in ensuring even development of the state.
