Olomu, IPA, PC ’78 Celebrate Sir Afolabi on Birthday, Laud Contributions to Community Development

The Olomu of Omupo, His Royal Majesty Oba Muhammed-Yakubu Adebayo Buari II, the Omupo Descendants Union (ODU), Philosophers’ Club ’78 Omupo and the Igbomina Professionals Association (IPA) have felicitated Sir (Dr.) Monisoye Olorunsola Afolabi, KGS, on his birthday, October 10, commending his exemplary leadership, commitment to community development and dedication to mentoring younger generations.
In separate congratulatory messages, the traditional ruler and the associations described Afolabi as a distinguished community leader whose life of service, integrity, hard work and moral uprightness had continued to inspire people within and beyond Omupo and Igbomina land.
The Olomu, on behalf of the ODU and Omupo indigenes worldwide, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for blessing the community with a personality whose exemplary leadership of the Omupo Descendants Union had restored hope and strengthened aspirations for a greater and more prosperous Omupoland.
The statement described Afolabi as a living legend and a distinguished leader of men who had consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of his community.
It noted that his dedication to hard work, moral uprightness and mentorship had helped nurture responsible individuals and successful professionals who continued to make meaningful contributions to society.
The statement also commended his exemplary family life, describing it as a worthy reference point for marital harmony, mutual understanding and enduring family values.
The Olomu and the Odu expressed appreciation for Afolabi’s sacrifices, contributions and unflinching commitment to the progress of Omupo, wishing him greater accomplishments, fulfilment and many more years of service to humanity.
Similarly, the Igbomina Professionals Association congratulated Afolabi, its inaugural Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), describing him as a worthy son of Igbomina whose life exemplified dedication, integrity, selflessness and commitment to collective advancement.
In a statement signed by its National President, Olabode O. Iranloye, the association said the birthday provided an opportunity to celebrate a distinguished personality whose purposeful leadership had promoted unity, collective responsibility and confidence in the future of his community.
According to the statement, Afolabi’s wealth of experience, wisdom and dedication to the ideals of the association remain invaluable to its vision of promoting professional excellence, unity and sustainable development across Igbomina land.
It added that his contributions to community development and his commitment to mentoring younger generations had continued to provide an inspiring example of responsible leadership and service.
The association also praised his emphasis on family values, hard work and moral principles, noting that his life demonstrated the importance of nurturing individuals who could contribute meaningfully to societal development.
It urged younger generations to draw inspiration from his commitment to service, integrity and the common good.
The association prayed that Almighty God would continue to grant Afolabi sound health, renewed strength, wisdom and many more years of purposeful living, peace, fulfilment and enduring accomplishments.
Also, the Philosopher’s Club ’78 Omupo congratulated the diplomat on his birthday, expressing confidence that his experience, leadership and contributions would continue to advance the development of Omupo and Igbomina land.
The club in a statement signed by the secretary, Mr Femi Afolayan and the President, Rev Abiodun Ajayi-Adewuyi, said the club shard in the joy of today with members of his immidiate family, as they give thanks to the Almighty God who has made today a reality.
“Sir Monisoye Afolabi, in addition to his been a worthy community leader, is an accomplished scholar of note, a divoted family man and one the advisers of the Club and mentor for members,” the statement added.
